CASA LORO – SAN AMBROSIO Bed & Breakfast Accommodation Vejer / Barbate Sleeps 2/4
..15 minutes to the beaches of Cape Trafalgar
Casa Loro is situated in the village of San Ambrosio (located off the main N340, which runs from Cadiz to Gibraltar), between the towns of Vejer de la Frontera and Barbate and on the edge of the National Park of La Brena and Las Marismas. Although inland from the sandy beaches of Cape Trafalgar, Mangueta and El Palmar; Casa Loro is still only a 15-minute drive away (we can ride there on our horses in an hour!).
Car hire is essential for this location.
Accommodation
A large, spacious room consisting of one double and two single beds which will sleep 2 people comfortably and up to a maximum of 4 people for those who are able to share. The spacious en-suite shower room has a large walk-in fully tiled shower with toilet and wash hand-basin. (Although a cool box is provided, there are no facilities available for cooking).

Eating and DrinkingIn addition to the 2 local bars in San Ambrosio which serve excellent food, there are also numerous bars and restaurants situated within a few kilometres, serving tasty, traditional Spanish cuisine including a mouth-watering variety of fresh fish and shellfish. In addition a choice of Pizzerias or Chinese Restaurants are also available locally.
Out and About
Beaches – The unspoilt, golden, sandy beaches of Zahora, Mangueta, El Palmar, Barbate and Cape Trafalgar are all within a 15-minute drive and stretch over 10 kilometres.
Vejer de la Frontera – an old, white hill top village originally known as the “Hippy” village with its narrow streets and quaint artisan shops, bars and restaurants.
Medina Sidonia - a typical old Andaluz town set high in the rolling hills with spectacular views.
Sevilla – one of Andalucia’s spectacular major towns and only a 2-hour drive.
Gibraltar - still British owned with plenty of duty free shopping. Visit the apes on the rock by cable car or private taxi or take a boat trip to see the whales and dolphins. (Don’t forget your passport)
Conil de la Frontera – a coastal town with beautiful beach, numerous shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and a market every Friday morning.
Tarifa – Coastal town with long sandy beaches and famous for its excellent wind and kite surfing facilities. You can also board the Fast Catamaran for a day trip to the Moroccan town of Tangier. (Don’t forget your passport).
Royal Spanish Riding School, Jerez - display of Spanish riding at his best, demonstrating the ability and discipline of these world famous horses.
National Park of La Brena y Las Marismas, Barbate – boasts 5000 hectares of umbrella pine and eucalyptus trees with spectacular views of the Moroccan coast and ideal for picnics, horse riding, mountain biking and quiet walks.
Hose Riding – is available locally, providing picturesque riding through the National Park and on the nearby beaches.
San Andres 25 minutes drive. Benalup 40 minutes away. Various other course within a 40 minute drive.
Vejer 10 minutes drive. Arcos 60 minutes drive.
